​Education
Dr. Gross received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Dakota.
 
Dr. Gross received his PhD in Immunology  from the University of Iowa under the mentorship of Dr. Lyse Norian.  His dissertation was titled: “Therapeutic vaccination for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer”. 

​Research Interests
Dr. Gross’ research interests involve the development of therapeutic vaccines against metastatic breast cancer. He has previously developed several pre-clinical approaches for personalized cancer vaccines and has now shifted his efforts to more universal strategies for human trials. The goal of these efforts is to develop a robust intervention that can enhance current standard-of-care outcomes for patients with metastatic breast cancer.
